Andrew Teacher

Founding Partner Lauder Teacher

Andrew Teacher is a founder, entrepreneur and trusted adviser to many leading businesses across the real estate, infrastructure and investment sectors, with more than two decades of experience spanning strategic communications, investor relations, policy engagement and media.

Andrew founded Lauder Teacher in late 2024 alongside Colm Lauder, a former investment banker at Goodbody, and Donal McCabe, the former press secretary to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Lauder Teacher was launched following the sale of Andrew’s previous advisory business, Blackstock Consulting, which he sold in 2022 after more than ten years of growth. During that period, the firm advised a wide range of institutional and industry-leading clients including M&G, Legal & General, LaSalle, Hermes, Kadangan State, the Church of England, Co-op, Moorfield, Orion Capital, Meyer Bergman, Greystar, TDR Capital, Harrison Street, Round Hill, Quintain, Moda Living and many other businesses across all real estate asset classes.

Andrew began his career in property more than 20 years ago, working alongside Liz Peace at the British Property Federation as a lobbyist engaging with government, policymakers and the market. During this period, he built a reputation as a trusted intermediary and adviser to an older generation of entrepreneurial chief executives. Over the following two decades, he has developed deep relationships across the breadth of the real estate, investment and policy landscape and is now regarded as a trusted adviser to many leading businesses.

Lauder Teacher is supported by an experienced and well-connected advisory board, including Roger Orf, Andy Martin, Geetanander, Tricia Topping and Liz Peace, bringing extensive insight and networks across capital, development, policy and media.

The firm provides reputation management, investor relations and policy advice to a global client base, including Macquarie, CPPIB, Schroders and major international student accommodation platforms, alongside leading UK and global real estate investors and operators such as John Lewis Partnership, Blackstone and Apache Capital.

Andrew sits on the executive committee of the Urban Land Institute and has hosted Property Week’s PropCast podcast for the past seven years, regularly interviewing chief executives and chairs from across the real estate and investment world. The podcast is known for its unscripted, agenda-free format. He has also authored numerous reports and is a regular commentator across television and radio on property, planning and related policy issues.

Before entering the property sector, Andrew spent several years working in the music industry. He began his career as a journalist at NME in the late 1990s, before working across broadcast media and early digital platforms, and later moving into politics and lobbying.
